WHX Tech moves to run alongside World Health Expo in Dubai

Healthcare technology conference WHX Tech will run alongside the World Health Expo in Dubai next January, creating a week-long gathering of the global healthcare community. The move reflects growing connections between traditional healthcare and the digital technologies changing how medical care is delivered.
Both events will take place from January 27-29, 2027 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Event organizer Informa says the co-location will give attendees and exhibitors access to a broader audience and create more commercial opportunities by connecting healthcare providers directly with technology companies.
Two events become one healthcare week
The combined events will form World Healthcare Week, bringing together:
- Healthcare providers and policymakers from the World Health Expo
- Technology companies focused on digital health solutions
- Leaders working on AI, data infrastructure, and patient-centered innovation
WHX Tech will maintain its focus on digital health technologies while benefiting from integration with the larger healthcare conference. This setup aims to ground technology discussions in real-world healthcare challenges and procurement needs.
Why does it matter?
The healthcare industry is increasingly dependent on technology solutions, from electronic health records to AI-powered diagnostics. However, technology companies often struggle to connect with healthcare decision-makers, while hospitals and health systems need better access to digital solutions.
Co-locating these events addresses this gap by putting technology vendors in the same space as healthcare buyers and policymakers. For attendees, it means they can cover both technology trends and healthcare developments in a single trip to Dubai.
The context
Dubai has positioned itself as a major hub for healthcare conferences and medical tourism in the Middle East. The emirate's central location makes it accessible for attendees from Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Informa Markets organizes more than 550 international business events globally, including conferences in healthcare, technology, and other industries. The company sees growing demand for events that bridge different sectors rather than operating in isolation.
"We're making it easier for attendees and exhibitors to maximize their time, access a broader network, and engage with both healthcare and technology in one place," said Lorena Diaz Palle, Event Director at Informa.
