PureHealth, Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority partner to advance holistic healthcare solutions for children

When it comes to giving kids the best shot at a healthy, happy future, PureHealth and Abu Dhabi's Early Childhood Authority (ECA) aren't cutting any corners. The two powerhouses have joined forces to shake up children's healthcare in the UAE, rolling out smarter, sharper, and more holistic solutions that don't just treat illnesses but aim to catch problems early — way early.

"This partnership reflects our strong commitment to provide a healthy and safe environment to young children," said His Excellency Dr. Yousef Alhammadi of ECA. And with that, a new era of child health in Abu Dhabi is officially underway.

How does it work?

So, what's actually happening on the ground? It's not just talk. Together, PureHealth and ECA are getting their hands dirty with real, practical programs like:

  • Supercharged school health screenings: PureHealth's SEHA CLINICS are rolling out check-ups across schools, tapping into tools like the Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) and the Paediatric Symptom Checklist (PSC) to spot developmental delays and mental health red flags before they spiral.
  • A first-of-its-kind Longevity Observatory: Think of it as a crystal ball for children's health — a data-driven platform that monitors kids from prenatal days through every major milestone. Personalised insights, predictive analytics, and smart dashboards give families and doctors the heads-up they need to keep kids thriving.
  • Backing health-tech startups: Through ECA's Anjal Z programme, new innovations in child health are getting a shot at real-world testing, clinical trials, and rollout across PureHealth's massive network.
  • Boosting mental health: Their Sakina platform is stepping up with tailored counselling, support for families, and community programs focused on keeping mental wellness top of mind.

As Rashed Al Qubaisi from PureHealth put it, "Together, we are creating pathways to stronger healthcare, education, and early intervention systems that will ensure every child has access to the care and support they need to thrive."

Why does it matter?

Here's the thing: healthy kids mean a healthy future. By catching issues before they blow up, families avoid crisis-mode care and set children on track for lifelong wellbeing.

  • Early checks lead to early fixes. Developmental delays, mental health struggles, and hidden health concerns can fly under the radar. Now? Not so much.
  • Parents, teachers, and doctors finally get the tools and knowledge they need to step in at the right time, with the right support.
  • Innovative tech meets good old-fashioned care, meaning fewer gaps in the system and more connected solutions.

"We are committed to putting children at the heart of our efforts," Dr. Alhammadi added. And it shows.

The context

Abu Dhabi is playing to win with its Early Childhood Development Strategy 2035 and UAE Centennial 2071 Plan — both big-picture visions of a future where the youngest citizens are set up to succeed. This partnership slots right into those ambitions, delivering:

  • Smarter policies through shared research
  • Professional training to raise the bar for caregivers and health workers
  • Community-wide awareness programs that help everyone — from parents to policymakers — get on the same page

And it's all rooted in something simple but often overlooked: if we care for kids early, we won't have to fix problems later.

Or as Al Qubaisi sums it up, "The foundation of a thriving society lies in the health and wellbeing of its youngest members."

And, let's face it - he's got a point.
