Presight to drive digital transformation in Jordan’s healthcare sector

Presight, a leader in big data analytics powered by generative artificial intelligence (AI), has secured a major contract with Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE).
The multi-million-dollar agreement aims to propel digital transformation within Jordan's healthcare sector, leveraging innovative technologies and data-driven strategies to enhance the quality of care and improve access to critical medical services across the country.
How does it work?
Presight's approach involves utilizing expertise from M42’s Abu Dhabi Health Data Services (ADHDS), known for its successful digital transformation projects in Abu Dhabi's healthcare sector. This collaboration will serve as a model for Jordan, helping accelerate the adoption of digital tools and advanced analytics to drive improvements in healthcare outcomes.
Key initiatives include a comprehensive public sector digital healthcare assessment, developing a strategic Project Management Office (PMO), implementing a health information exchange strategy, and establishing a business case for further transformation efforts.
A notable aspect of the contract is the creation of a virtual hospital "Command Center," which will provide next-generation tele-ICU, tele-radiology, and tele-dialysis services to remote hospitals. This initiative aims to ensure that most clinical encounters in Jordan can be captured and managed digitally, leading to enhanced resource efficiency, reduced costs, and greater accessibility to medical services.
Why does it matter?
Digital transformation in healthcare is no longer a luxury but a necessity, especially in rapidly developing regions.
As H.E. Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, Jordan’s Minister of Health, emphasized: "Digital transformation in the healthcare sector is no longer just an option but an urgent necessity for achieving national goals in providing comprehensive care."
In that sense, this partnership represents a significant step toward achieving these national objectives, aligning Jordan's healthcare sector with global advancements and improving overall healthcare delivery.
Dr. Adel Alsharji, COO of Presight, highlighted the transformative impact of AI in healthcare, stating, “AI-driven technologies are revolutionizing healthcare and reshaping our approach to health and wellness."
By integrating AI technologies with human expertise, this initiative aims to advance a healthier future not only for Jordan but also for the broader region.
The context
This partnership is part of a broader movement towards digital innovation in the healthcare sector, as evidenced by successful models in other parts of the world, such as Abu Dhabi.
According to Kareem Shahin, CEO of M42’s Abu Dhabi Health Data Services, "Abu Dhabi exemplifies how data and advanced technology can transform healthcare management and delivery."
The collaboration between Presight and Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship marks a critical step in shaping the future of healthcare in Jordan, applying lessons learned from Abu Dhabi to create a more accessible, efficient, and responsive healthcare system.
With the work already underway and initial meetings between key stakeholders, including H.E. Ahmad Hanandeh, Jordan's Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, this contract is poised to redefine Jordan's healthcare landscape, bringing it in line with contemporary digital standards and global best practices.
