Hub71 startup Ovasave concludes its Fertility Your Way campaign

Hub71 startup Ovasave, a trailblazer in women's fertility and hormone health, recently concluded its Fertility Your Way campaign in the UAE. The initiative aimed to empower women with crucial insights into their reproductive health by providing fertility education and easy access to testing. This campaign, held from September 16th to 25th, reached thousands of women across key community hubs — offering them the opportunity to undergo Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) testing, which is a reliable indicator of egg reserve.

With over 500 women directly participating, Ovasave continues to make fertility care more accessible and personalized for women across the region.

How did it work?

The Fertility Your Way campaign revolved around a mobile fertility clinic, known as the Ovasave Fertility Bus, which traveled to strategic locations in the UAE — including Dubai Media City, DIFC, and ADGM. Onboard, women could receive an AMH test, a simple and non-invasive way to assess their egg reserve. The initiative also provided consultations where women could discuss their fertility concerns with experts and learn about fertility preservation options, such as egg freezing. This proactive approach allowed participants to gain a better understanding of their reproductive health in a convenient and approachable setting.

According to Ovasave's Co-Founder, Torkia Mahloul, the campaign was built on the belief that "as long as women are empowered with the right knowledge, they can decide for themselves what fertility journey is right for them." By offering clear and reliable information, Ovasave aimed to demystify fertility care and make it easier for women to make informed decisions.

Why does it matter?

The campaign's significance lies in its mission to reshape how women think about fertility in the UAE. Traditionally, fertility issues have been discussed in hushed tones, with many women feeling unprepared or uninformed about their reproductive health. Ovasave's Fertility Your Way campaign breaks this silence, encouraging women to take control of their fertility through early testing and education. With fertility preservation options like egg freezing becoming more widely known, women are being offered more choices and control over their family planning.

As Ahmed Aboelfadl, Merck Gulf's General Manager, noted, "We are proud to have been part of such an impactful initiative, availing these fertility screenings in an accessible and convenient approach to empower more females to take charge of their reproductive health."

In that sense, this campaign raised awareness while providing tangible tools for women to make informed decisions about their future.

The context

The Fertility Your Way campaign is part of a broader effort to increase awareness of reproductive health in the UAE. With the UAE government's "We the UAE 2031" vision aiming to enhance the overall well-being of its citizens, campaigns like Ovasave's align with national goals for improving women's health. The partnership with major sponsors such as Merck and Dubai Investments helped extend the reach of the campaign, ultimately engaging over half a million women through digital platforms.

In a region where fertility discussions have often been limited, Ovasave's initiative represents a monumental shift in making fertility care more accessible and open.

"The conversations we've had with women during this campaign have shown us how much of a need there is for fertility education and support in the region," said Torkia Mahloul, highlighting the critical role this initiative played in addressing a previously underserved area of women's health.

This campaign was not just about providing tests — it was about changing the way women think about fertility and empowering them with the information they need to make decisions that align with their personal goals and health needs.
