UAE’s Ajman launches 360FutureHealth platform for health innovation

The Emirate of Ajman has launched 360FutureHealth, a new platform designed to turn the UAE into a major center for health innovation and AI-enabled healthcare across the Gulf region.
The initiative, developed by 360Disruption and operated through 360Pioneer FZE, focuses on bringing advanced healthcare technologies to market in the UAE and wider GCC. The platform targets diagnostics, longevity research, and life sciences partnerships.
How will it work?
360FutureHealth operates through four main areas, though the specific details of these pillars weren't fully outlined in the announcement. The platform will:
- Incubate and accelerate healthcare technologies for regional markets
- Build strategic partnerships between global innovators and local stakeholders
- Create clinical innovation pathways for new treatments and diagnostics
- Support local manufacturing of advanced healthcare technologies
The initiative has backing from strategic local shareholders and institutional stakeholders in Ajman. This local ownership structure is meant to speed up regional partnerships and create opportunities for manufacturing healthcare solutions locally.
Why does it matter?
The platform addresses the UAE's push to become less dependent on oil by building advanced technology sectors. Healthcare innovation represents a major growth opportunity for the region, especially as Gulf countries invest heavily in AI and medical technology.
Local manufacturing capabilities could reduce the region's dependence on imported medical devices and diagnostics. This fits with broader UAE goals around economic diversification and self-sufficiency in critical sectors.
Dr. Anjo De Heus, founder of 360Disruption, said the platform is "designed to bridge global health innovation with local execution and regional impact."
The context
The UAE has been pushing hard to become a technology hub, with significant investments in AI, healthcare, and life sciences. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have already established themselves as regional centers for medical tourism and healthcare innovation.
Ajman, one of the smaller emirates, is now positioning itself to compete in this space. The emirate has been working to diversify its economy and attract international investment in high-tech sectors.
The timing aligns with broader regional trends. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states are also investing billions in healthcare technology and life sciences as part of their economic diversification plans.
