Huawei Watch GT4 launched with improved health tracking and battery

It's not just Apple that has new smartwatches - Huawei announced its updated gear, as well.
The Huawei Watch GT4 comes in two sizes — 41mm with a "Pendant Design" and 46mm with an "Octogonal Design" — and the upgraded TruSeen 5.5+ technology, which is said to include a new suite of sensors and algorithms to provide more accurate and more detailed health tracking.
As that was the case with earlier Huawei smartwatches, the GT4 works with both Android and iOS smartphones. It can show notifications from different apps and supports Bluetooth calling.
What's new?
The larger version (obviously) has a bigger battery that lasts up to 14 days, whereas the smaller GT4 will work up to 7 days. Both models reportedly have 20% better battery life than their GT3 counterparts.
In addition, the two GT4 watches feature an improved Always-On Display mode, which can have up to 20% more visible elements than before. That display is AMOLED with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, with the smaller watch sporting a 1.32" screen, and the bigger - a 1.43" screen.
Health tracking with Huawei Watch GT4
When it comes to health tracking, the mentioned TruSeen 5.5+ brings along a slew of new features:
- The new TruSleep 3.0 tech includes Sleep Monitoring for tracking sleep cycles, and Sleep Breathing Awareness that keeps an eye on your heart rate and SpO2 while you sleep and will alert you to any breathing issues.
- Menstrual Cycle Management 3.0, which is apparently 15% more accurate in first-day period predictions than mainstream smartwatches.
- Dual-band, five-system GNSS to provide 30% more accurate positioning for tracking outdoor exercises.
- Ability to track over 100 different sports, including newly added things like Padel and e-sports.
- The new Stay Fit feature, which helps you track your caloric intake with real-time health data.
- Integration with other fitness and health apps such as Strava, Komoot, Runtastic, and Huawei's own Petal Maps
