WHOOP partners with Unilabs to bring advanced health testing to UAE

WHOOP is making it easier for fitness enthusiasts in the UAE to get a complete picture of their health. The wearable tech company has partnered with diagnostic services provider Unilabs to offer comprehensive blood testing across the Emirates.
The partnership brings WHOOP's Advanced Labs service to the region. This feature lets users combine blood test results with data from their fitness tracker to spot long-term health trends. It's the first time the service has been available outside the United States.
How does it work?
WHOOP members can now book a 65-biomarker blood panel through Unilabs for 733 AED - the same price as in the US. They can visit any Unilabs center across the UAE or request home collection for the blood draw.
After getting tested, users upload their lab results directly to the WHOOP app. The app then combines this data with continuous tracking of recovery, sleep, and exercise strain from their wearable device. WHOOP's AI coach provides personalized insights based on both datasets.
The biomarker panel covers key health indicators including hormone levels, metabolic markers, and nutritional status. Users get explanations of what their results mean in context with their daily habits and fitness data.
Why does it matter?
Most fitness trackers only show surface-level metrics like steps and heart rate. WHOOP's approach connects deeper biological markers with daily behavior patterns. This gives users a more complete view of their health over time.
The service moves beyond basic fitness tracking into medical-grade health monitoring. Users can spot potential issues early or optimize their training and recovery based on actual biomarker data rather than guesswork.
For the UAE market specifically, this addresses growing demand for preventive healthcare and longevity-focused services. The region has shown strong interest in health tech solutions that go beyond traditional medical checkups.
The context
WHOOP launched Advanced Labs in the US last year and saw immediate interest from international markets, particularly the Gulf region. The UAE partnership marks the company's first international expansion of the service.
The timing aligns with the UAE's push to become a global hub for health technology and longevity research. The country has been investing heavily in preventive healthcare and digital health solutions.
Unilabs operates across 14 countries and serves nearly 100 million people annually. The partnership gives WHOOP access to an established medical infrastructure in the region. The companies plan to deepen their integration over time, potentially offering more seamless data sharing between lab results and wearable devices.
