Google’s Verily launches a consumer health app – Verily Me

The precision health AI company unveiled the free app at HLTH USA 2025, pitching it as a bridge between patients, clinicians, and the mountain of data that often keeps them apart. The goal? To help people make sense of their health records and get personalized guidance from real, licensed providers — all in one place.

As Vindell Washington, MD, Verily's Chief Clinical Officer, puts it, "We created Verily Me to meet the consumer need for a simpler, more personalized healthcare solution." It's a bold claim in a market already crowded with health trackers and AI chatbots, but Verily's take carries clinical weight and ambition.

How does it work?

At its core, Verily Me is an intelligent companion for your health journey. It's powered by Verily's precision health platform, Pre, which turns complex medical data into something clinicians — and now consumers — can actually use. Within the app, users can:

  • Get tailored health advice from licensed clinicians who review records across hospitals and health systems to spot care gaps and recommend next steps.
  • See and use their own medical history, giving them a clear picture of what's been done and what's next before stepping into a doctor's office.
  • Chat with Violet, an AI companion that answers everyday health record questions like "When was my last flu shot?" or "What did my lab results say last month?"
  • Track meals with a photo, receiving real-time nutrition insights and feedback.
  • Join research, by opting into Verily's Lifelong Health Study, contributing to real-world data that could shape future healthcare insights.

As Myoung Cha, Verily's Chief Product Officer, explains, "Our goal with Verily Me is to provide a truly integrated and intuitive experience that supports people in their health journey." It's not just about access — it's about understanding.

According to a Verily-sponsored Harris Poll, three out of four Americans say they'd welcome an app that helps them understand their health better and offers personalized advice. That's the sweet spot Verily is chasing. The app aims to bring human clinicians and machine intelligence together, helping people act on data rather than drown in it.

More importantly, Verily Me isn't just for consumers — it's being woven into Lightpath1, Verily's personalized care program subsidized by employers, insurers, and pharmacy benefit managers.
