Dubai Health Authority launches the “Mawaheb” smart platform

During GITEX Global 2023, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) launched the "Mawaheb" smart platform to enhance medical education and healthcare innovation.

Mawaheb is an integrated electronic platform that connects with various systems of entities in Dubai — offering a range of services for health professionals, medical and health sciences students, and healthcare and training facilities.

According to Dr. Marwan Al Mulla, CEO of Health Regulation Sector at the DHA, the platform reflects the authority's commitment to achieving Dubai's vision for digital transformation. He said that the goal is to enhance medical education, research, and innovation in the healthcare field.

Al Mulla said that the aim is to facilitate and improve the quality of medical education and foster advancements in the healthcare sector in Dubai.

The platform is also linked with the "Sheryan" platform for licensing healthcare professionals and facilities in Dubai. It is a result of collaboration and partnership between the authority and various government and private institutions, including the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai.

He highlighted the multiple services that the platform will offer through "Dubai Now," related to the management of medical education and research services provided by the authority.

Dr. Mulla stated that the launch of this smart platform reflects the authority's commitment to realising Dubai's vision for digital transformation in the healthcare sector, and to maximise the utilisation of technology and modern techniques to provide digital and real-time services that meet the needs of individuals around the clock, following the best service delivery standards.
