DawaDose, 21Doctors close pre-seed rounds from angel investors

Two Jordanian companies, DawaDose and 21Doctors, announced the successful close of their Pre-Seed funding rounds from a group of angel investors. They have also announced the move of their respective headquarters to Saudi Arabia.

Both companies are co-founded by Osama Almabroum; DawaDose's other co-founder is Rushdi Abdalghani (CEO), while 21Doctors is co-founded by Rania Abu Taleb (CTO).

The two companies

DawaDose is on a mission to digitize access to healthcare by building the region's first fully integrated B2C and B2B pharmaceutical ecosystem. The platform aims to connect pharmacies, wholesalers, and consumers through secure, efficient, and accessible digital tools.

On the other hand, 21Doctors is building a digital-first healthcare platform focused on scalable AI-powered tools tailored for the Arab world. The company aims to accelerate the digital transformation of healthcare across the region while addressing the specific linguistic and cultural needs of Arabic-speaking medical providers.

On the record

"This funding is not just capital; it's trust — trust in our vision to digitise healthcare access across the Middle East, starting with Saudi Arabia," said Rushdi Abdalghani.

"We are building DawaDose as a Saudi company with a global outlook. This is just the first step toward reshaping pharmaceutical e-commerce in the region," said Osama Almabroum.

"We are creating Arabic-first AI medical infrastructure—scalable, smart, and aligned with Vision 2030," added Rania Abu Taleb.

The context

Digital Health / HealthTech is still a nascent market in the Middle East, and it is the deals like these that pave the way for a brighter future for the sector — which, we have no doubts, is coming. We'll make sure you get the latest from the region's HealthTech scene, so stay tuned.
