MyAster brings its 24×7 drug deliveries to Abu Dhabi, RAK, Ajman and Sharjah

Healthcare at your doorstep isn't a dream anymore — it's a daily reality. myAster, the UAE's first integrated healthcare superapp, is stretching its wings beyond Dubai. Residents in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah can now get medicines, supplements, and wellness essentials delivered in under 90 minutes, 24 hours a day. In just three years, myAster has garnered over 2.8 million downloads and positively impacted the lives of more than two million people. That's not a fad — that's a groundswell.
How does it work?
At its core, myAster is an omnichannel healthcare platform built by Aster DM Healthcare. The app brings together:
- Express delivery (within 90 minutes) of prescription meds, vitamins, mother-and-baby essentials, and even skincare.
- 24x7 availability so patients never have to wait for pharmacies to open.
- Integrated services like doctor appointment bookings, lab report access, teleconsultations, and chronic disease management.
Think of it as a digital front door to healthcare. A patient with a prescription at midnight, a parent in need of baby care products, or someone who just ran out of supplements — all can tap the app and have what they need on their doorstep in a flash.
As Nalla Karunanithy, CEO of Digital Health and E-Commerce at Aster DM Healthcare, puts it: "This expansion is not just about convenience, but about building a health and wellness ecosystem that truly revolves around patients."
Why does it matter?
The real story isn't just faster deliveries. It's the shift in how people see healthcare. myAster is answering a growing demand for services that are:
- Convenient: Healthcare when and where people need it, no queues, no fuss.
- Comprehensive: From booking physical appointments (two-thirds now happen through the app) to shopping for wellness essentials.
- Patient-first: Designed to fit seamlessly into modern lifestyles where time is tight and expectations are high.
In FY24 alone, the platform handled over one million appointment bookings. That's a clear sign that healthcare is shifting from hospitals to homes, with apps like myAster leading the way.
The context
Launched in July 2022, myAster started as a Dubai-focused service with a 60-minute delivery model. The response was so strong, it quickly became obvious that demand stretched far beyond one city. Today, the expansion across five Emirates and the recent launch in Saudi Arabia show its ambition: to build a regional health and wellness ecosystem, not just a delivery app.
The shift mirrors wider global trends — healthcare is going digital, and consumers expect the same level of service from pharmacies as they do from food delivery apps. The UAE, with its tech-savvy population and appetite for convenience, has become fertile ground for innovation.
Karunanithy summed it up well: "myAster was built to transform how people access healthcare, making it faster, easier, and more reliable."
And with 24x7 express delivery now rolling across the Emirates, that transformation is only picking up speed.
